Plastic molds

A: Plastic molds are generally divided into two types

  1. Cold shelving templates
  2. Hot Tent Molds

And they are both structurally different

  1. Two-page templates
  2. Three-page molds whose number of mold plates and their separation line are determined by factors such as the number of mold cavities, the shape of the plastic piece, the type of injection machine, the type of consumables and the air outlet system, etc.

There are basically two main parts to any injection mold.

  1. Fixed part of the mold (semi-fixed) in which these semi-plastic injection materials are injected.
  2. The movable part (semi-actuator) which is attached to the movable part of the injection machine and the system and mechanism for removing most parts.

Determining the number of mold holes and chambers is one of the important points of injection mold design.

There are two types of plastic molds in this field

  1. Single-cavity molds: In cases where single-cavity molds are used, the amount of plastic piece production is limited. Therefore, designing and manufacturing single-hole molds will be cheaper in terms of manufacturing time and economic issues.
  2. Multi-hole molds If the number of products produced is high, especially in the case of small pieces, the design and manufacture of multi-hole molds is used.

Mold material

After the mold is theoretically prepared using formulas and drawings, it is time to go deep into the mold, but there are other stages before making the mold, including the material and material of the mold, depending on the type of piece that is ultimately desirable. Is to be determined.

The choice of metal for pure application depended on the characteristics of the piece itself, its cost, and the availability of the metal. The technical requirements of the parts may differ in the case of one piece having strength and in the other part the appearance of the first condition.

Steel used for plastic molds must have a high molding capacity, so a high percentage of worms are required in that steel. Because of the choice of these types of steel, the high surface area for the plastic and the easy separation from the mold surface. is.

For example, the desired quality indicates the number of holes in plastic molds, so that molding with a single hole in many cases does not even account for the power, friction and manpower of the injection machine, if the same mold has more holes. It can completely change the above.

mold manufacturing

But the last step in producing a mold is mold making.
Molding is done by specifying the working time, the type of machine needed, and the skilled workforce.
All components of the mold must be examined in terms of working time until the design time of the mold is approximately determined.
Next, determine the types of tools needed for proper machining of mold components.

The machine tools needed to make the molds typically include:
CNC Milling Machine, Drilling Machine, Spark-Wireat and CNC Milling Machine

The individual molding components are manufactured in the machining unit.
In the assembly unit, after the dimensional control of the components and precision in the required tolerances, the mold assembly begins.

After assembly and final preparation, the mold is ready for mold testing and sampling.
After controlling the test piece if there is a problem, the mold returns to the machining unit for correction.
